Dear Friends, Guests, Brothers and Sisters,

May I take this opportunity to invite you to the 100th Anniversary of Grand Rapids First Church of the Nazarene, later named Grand Rapids International Fellowship – A Church of the Nazarene. If you haven’t already, please mark your calendar for the weekend of October 2-3.

This weekend will offer you the opportunity to reconnect with friends and family. That can happen at an Open House on Saturday from 1:00 – 3:30. The Saturday service starting at 4:00 PM will uplift and encourage you as we hear from much loved former pastors and recall fond memories of a century of God’s provisions and guidance.

The Sunday morning service starting at 10:00 builds on the lessons of the past and looks ahead to the next 100 years. Again, previous pastors will take part in the service. Dr. John Seaman, Michigan District Superintendent, will lead in a prayer for current leaders as they set a course to build a God-honoring legacy over the next century.

Don’t miss this memorable event! We hope you can attend both services and other events over the weekend.

Celebrating His goodness,

Pastor Joe Knight

Lead Pastor

Grand Rapids International Fellowship – A Church of the Nazarene

P.S.: Please R.S.V.P. by September 17 if you plan to attend the Saturday events. Thank you!

Verse of the Day

Luke 2:8-11
“And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.”
